Ski Lessons

Lessons are taught at different levels to individuals, groups and families. We teach our skiers in the following age groups:

Adult and Junior 8 years +
Tots 4-7years

What will I learn?

You will receive a skill level card on your first lesson. This will be used to help monitor your progress.

The following guide explains each level and lesson content:

Level 1: complete beginners
- Ski and safety check - introduction to equipment
- Walking and turning on the flat
- Side stepping and turning on a slope
- Straight running exercises
- Introduction to stationary snowplough
- Awareness of Ski Way Code
Level 2: controlling speed
- Snowplough glide
- Snowplough brake
- Straight run and snowplough stop
Level 3: learning to turn
- Snowplough turning exercise
- Snowplough turn in and out of fall line
Level 4: linking turns
- Linked snowplough turns
- Linked snowplough turns - varied radius
You are now ready for recreational practice

Level 5: developing turns
- Plough swings
- Basic swings
Level 6: parallel turning
- Basic parallel turns
- Parallel turns - long radius
Level 7: advanced manoeuvres
- Parallel turns - short radius
- Short swings
- Step turns
All lessons must be booked and paid for in advance due to instructor allocation.
please ensure you have your arms and legs covered. Gloves are also required to go on to the slope
